Lauren Mcllwraith started in dog shows at the young age of 7, showing Siberian Huskies. Lauren went on to participate in junior showmanship, most notably winning Best Junior at the 2005 AKC Eukanuba Invitational under Bob Forsyth. While attending school, she worked for several professional handlers over a 10 year period. After graduating from Oklahoma State University with a degree in Animal Science, she began her own career as a professional handler showing multiple breeds, specializing in herding and sporting dogs. She has handled several breeds to top rankings including multiple Best in Show winners, National Specialty Breed and Best Opposite winners along with multiple platinum Grand Champions and independent specialty wins.
